Established in 1999, Kate studied with the Open College of the Arts and gained Diplomas 1 + 2 , while working concurrently at a local RHS registered Garden and Plant Nursery. Passionate about shape and form in Design and Planting, she also has a love of history, architecture and nature. This plays an integral part of her work.
Kate has a wealth of plant knowledge, absorbed throughout her life, from family gardens as a child, to her own gardens over the years and all the numerous gardens she has done professionally. She understands her plants – what they like and how they grow. Bio diversity and climate play a key role.
Several magazines have featured her gardens, such as Kent Life, The Journal of The Society of Garden Designers,House Beautiful, The Wealden Times.. She has also won Awards and had gardens feature in local Open Garden schemes.
The link between House and Garden play an important part in the overall process. This process should be a happy and fulfilling one. This is achieved by a good relationship with the clients and also with the landscapers.
